Address book
Saved senders and recipients for manual shipping labels
The address book stores addresses you use often, so a manual booking does not mean retyping a forwarder's details from an email.
Requires settings:tenant. Find it under Settings → Address book.
What to put in it
- Senders other than your warehouse - a third-party fulfilment site, a supplier you return goods to, an exhibition stand.
- Recipients you ship to repeatedly - a forwarder's terminal, a repair partner, a wholesale customer, your own second site.
Using a saved address
Saved addresses are offered on the sender and receiver steps of the Create shipment wizard. Pick one and the whole block fills in.
Why it is worth doing
Carriers reject bookings on incomplete or malformed addresses, and a mistyped postal code fails at the packing bench rather than here. An address that has been validated by a successful booking once is worth saving.
Addresses that arrive on customer orders are not stored here - this is for the addresses you type in yourself.
