Billing and wallet
Your plan, payment details and the prepaid shipping wallet
Settings → Billing covers two separate things: what you pay MPH for the software, and the prepaid wallet that shipping is charged from.
Requires billing:read to view and billing:manage to change the plan. The wallet has its own permissions: wallet:read and wallet:topup.
The page has four tabs: Transactions, Usage, Payment and Plan.
The shipping wallet
The wallet is a prepaid balance that pays for shipments booked on an MPH standard agreement. Shipments on your own carrier agreement never touch it - your carrier invoices you directly.
Topping up
The Transactions tab shows the balance and its status:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| OK | Healthy |
| Low | Under 200 SEK. Top up now |
| Blocked | At or below zero. Bookings on MPH agreements are rejected |
Top up with a preset amount - 500, 1000, 2500 or 5000 SEK - or your own, paying by card. A top-up that was started but never completed appears under pending top-ups, so an abandoned checkout is visible rather than mysterious.
Auto top-up
Set a threshold and an amount, and save a card. When the balance falls below the threshold the wallet refills itself.
Turn this on. A wallet that empties at 10am stops the packing bench, and nobody watches a balance until it is already a problem.
The ledger
Every movement is recorded, and the balance is derived from it. Nine entry types:
| Type | What it is |
|---|---|
topup / auto_topup | Money in |
booking_charge | A shipment was booked |
refund | A charge reversed |
claim_payout | A settled freight claim |
reconciliation_adjustment | A correction after the carrier's invoice was checked |
per_order_fee / subscription_fee | MPH fees |
manual_adjustment | A manual correction |
Filter the history by type, free text or date range, download a receipt for any entry, and export the lot to CSV.
Running out of money
A negative balance locks your users out of the dashboard immediately, while integrations keep running in the background - so orders keep arriving and stock keeps syncing, but nobody can work. After 7 continuous days negative, the organization is suspended entirely and integrations stop too.
The two stages are deliberate. The first is a hard prompt to top up that does not lose you any data; the second is what happens when nobody responded for a week. Both are cleared by bringing the balance back above zero.
Plan and usage
The Plan tab shows your current plan, add-ons such as support, and lets you change or cancel. The Usage tab shows consumption against your plan's limits.
Plans carry limits (items, warehouses, integrations, users, orders per month) and feature flags (API access, advanced reports, bulk shipments, phone support). If a feature refuses rather than erroring, check the plan.
The Payment tab holds your card and billing details, which also appear on invoices, plus your invoice history.
Billing address
Your billing details are part of the setup checklist because they appear on invoices and receipts. Fill them in before your first invoice rather than correcting it afterwards.
