Ship on an MPH carrier contract without a carrier account of your own
A standard agreement (standardavtal) lets you ship with a carrier without negotiating your own contract with them. MPH holds the carrier relationship; you activate the agreement, ship, and the cost is taken from your prepaid wallet.
Find them under Settings → Carriers and shipping → Standard agreements. Activating one requires carriers:manage.
When this is the right choice
- You are new and have no shipping volume to negotiate with yet.
- You want a second carrier for the routes your main carrier is bad at, without signing a second contract.
- You would rather not run carrier credentials and invoices at all.
If you already have a good agreement with a carrier, use your own credentials instead. You keep your negotiated rates and the carrier invoices you directly.

The two coexist. A carrier configuration is backed by either a contract or your own credentials, and you can have several of each.
Activating an agreement
- Go to Settings → Carriers and shipping → Standard agreements.
- Each available agreement shows the carrier, the services it covers, and a From X per shipment price.
- Tick I accept the agreement terms.
- Activate. Optionally make it your default carrier configuration.
The agreement is ready to book with immediately - there is no waiting for a carrier to set up an account.
Deactivate the same way. Shipments already booked keep their labels and tracking.
Pricing
The price you see is the price you pay. It already includes MPH's margin, and cost and margin are never shown - there is nothing to work out or reconcile.
Where the carrier can quote live (today, DHL), the quote drives the price and the published rate card is the fallback. Otherwise the rate card applies, based on zone and weight band, using the agreement's volumetric weight factor where the parcel is bulky for its weight.
The prepaid wallet
Bookings on a standard agreement are charged from your shipping wallet at the moment the label is created.
- The wallet balance is shown on the agreements page, with a Top up link.
- Top up under Settings → Billing, with preset amounts or your own.
- Auto top-up refills the wallet when it drops below a threshold, using a saved card. Turn this on. A wallet that empties mid-morning stops the packing bench.
When the wallet balance reaches zero, bookings on an MPH agreement are rejected. Your own-agreement carriers keep working, because they are invoiced directly.
If the balance goes negative, users are locked out of the dashboard immediately while integrations keep running, and after 7 continuous days negative the organization is suspended entirely. See Billing and wallet.
Freight claims
Shipments booked on a standard agreement can be claimed against inside MPH, because MPH files with the carrier on your behalf. A settled claim is credited back to your wallet. See Freight claims.
Own-agreement shipments cannot - claim directly with your carrier, since the contract is between you and them.
Using an agreement day to day
Once activated, the agreement appears as a carrier configuration like any other. Pin it in a shipping template and packers never have to think about which agreement a parcel goes on.
