Pick lists

A pick list tells whoever is picking what to fetch and where it lives.

Printing one

  • From Orders, select orders and choose Print, then either individual pick lists or a combined batch sheet.
  • From a pick list, use Print to get that round's sheet in batch or per-order form.
  • From an order's action menu, Print pick list.

What is on it

  • An order barcode, so the sheet can be scanned back into the pack queue
  • Order number, customer and shipping address
  • The items, sorted by pick location first and SKU second, so the picker walks the warehouse once
  • Per line: name, SKU, pick location, quantity to pick and stock on hand

The layout comes from your pick list print template, which you can redesign under Settings → Print templates. A warehouse can have its own.

Batch printing

Selecting several orders produces one document with each order starting on a new page, so the stack separates cleanly. This is how most operations print the morning's work in one go.

Shipping labels

Automatic

When an order is packed and the shipment books successfully, the label goes straight to your configured label printer through the Printer Client. Nobody has to click anything.

Manual

From a shipment's detail page, Label either sends it to the printer again or downloads a PDF.

Set which printer takes which document type in printer defaults.

Manual and pickup labels have their own per-warehouse paper size setting, so a packstation with a label roll gets a label and an office with a laser printer gets A4. Without it, A4 paperwork ends up crawling out of a label printer. Set it under Warehouses.

Invoices

An invoice is printed from a fulfilment, or emailed to the customer. Layout comes from the invoice print template. A warehouse can be set to create an invoice per fulfilment and email it automatically - see Warehouses.

Item and location labels

See Labels for shelf and product labels.
