Print pick lists and shipping labels for orders
MPH WMS supports printing pick lists for warehouse picking and shipping labels for dispatch.
Pick lists
A pick list is a printable document that tells warehouse staff which items to pick and where to find them.
Printing a pick list
- Go to Orders
- Select one or more orders
- Click Print
- The pick list opens in a print-ready view
What the pick list includes
Each pick list contains:
- Order barcode - a CODE128 barcode for quick scanning
- Order details - order number, customer name, shipping address
- Items table sorted by:
- Pick location (so you walk the warehouse efficiently)
- SKU (for items at the same location)
- For each item:
- Item name and SKU
- Pick location in the warehouse
- Quantity to pick
- Stock on hand - so you can see if stock is available
Batch printing
When you select multiple orders and click Print, a combined document is generated with one pick list per order. Each order starts on a new page for easy separation.
This is useful for printing all pick lists for the day's orders in one go.
Shipping labels
Shipping labels are printed when a shipment is booked through a carrier.
Automatic printing
When using the batch picking flow, shipping labels are printed automatically after each shipment is booked. This requires the Printer Client to be connected.
Manual printing
You can also print labels manually:
- Go to the shipment detail page
- Click Print Label
- The label is either:
- Sent to your configured label printer via the Printer Client
- Downloaded as a PDF for manual printing
Label formats
Labels are typically:
- 100 x 150 mm - standard shipping label size
- 100 x 200 mm - for carriers that require larger labels
- A4 - for some freight/pallet labels
Configure your default label size in printer defaults.
