Orders

Orders are what the warehouse exists to serve. They arrive from a connected sales channel or are created by hand, and leave as a parcel with a tracking number.

The path an order takes

1. Imported or created - from Shopify, or manually
2. Confirmed - stock is allocated to the order lines
3. Picked - see Picking and Pick lists
4. Packed - see Packing
5. Shipped - a label is booked and tracking goes back to the channel

Steps 3 and 4 can be one pass, two passes, or a full pick-list round, depending on how the warehouse is set up. See Fulfilments.

Permissions

orders:read, orders:create, orders:update, orders:cancel and orders:ship gate this area. Picking and packing are gated separately by fulfillment:pick and fulfillment:pack, so a packer does not need order-editing rights.
