Print product labels for warehouse picking
Item labels are for the shelf and the picking trolley: name, SKU and a scannable barcode.
Printing
From the item list, select rows and choose Print labels in the bulk action bar. From a single item, use Print label in the header. You can also tick Print labels after receiving on a goods receipt to print everything you just booked in.
You are asked for the number of copies per item before printing.
What goes on the label
The layout comes from an item-label template, designed under Settings → Print templates. Available fields include SKU, name, description, barcode, price, tags, batch and lot number, weight, dimensions, country of origin, HS code, unit, location and the current date, plus free custom text.
Per label you can set:
- Preset size - 50 × 30 mm, 62 × 29 mm, 62 × 100 mm, or a custom size
- Barcode format - CODE128, EAN13 or CODE39
- Barcode source - the item's barcode, its SKU, or whichever of the two exists
- Whether the barcode's value is printed underneath it
A warehouse-specific template overrides the general one, so a site with different label stock can have its own layout.
Printing hardware
Labels go to a label printer through the Printer Client, a small desktop app that picks up print jobs and sends them to the printers attached to that machine. Without it, printing falls back to the browser dialog - workable for A4, awkward for a label roll.
Set which printer receives which document type under Settings → Printers.
