UPS
UPS carrier integration - express and standard delivery worldwide
UPS is the carrier to reach for when a parcel leaves Europe, or when a delivery date has to be guaranteed.
Credentials
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Client ID | OAuth client ID from the UPS Developer Portal |
| Client secret | OAuth client secret |
| Account number | Your 6-character UPS account number |
| Test mode | Books against the UPS sandbox instead of production |
UPS uses OAuth client credentials rather than a static API key, so the integration fetches and refreshes its own access tokens. You only ever enter the client ID and secret.

UPS is the only carrier in MPH that can cancel a booking through the API. With every other carrier, cancelling in MPH marks the shipment cancelled on our side only, and you must also cancel in the carrier's portal.
Services
- UPS Express - next-day and time-definite delivery worldwide
- UPS Standard - day-definite delivery at a lower price
Thirteen services are seeded in total; which of them are offered depends on the sending and receiving country of the shipment you are booking.
Coverage
Global, with the strongest networks in Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific.
When to use UPS
- Shipping outside Europe, where the Nordic carriers get expensive or slow
- A delivery date that has to be guaranteed
- Customers who expect an express option at checkout
For Nordic domestic parcels, PostNord, DHL and Bring will normally be cheaper.
Test mode
Switch Test mode on and bookings go to the UPS sandbox. Labels produced there are not valid for shipping. Use it to check that credentials and service codes work before going live, then switch it off.
